Lynn received her PhD in Nursing from the University of Iowa. Her research focuses on multimodal management of chronic pain and related symptoms, specifically exploring novel complimentary strategies such as virtual reality-based therapies. Her doctoral research evaluated the use of virtual reality distraction therapy for breakthrough cancer pain in hospitalized patients. Previously, she has conducted research on pain management in aging populations, multimorbidity, palliative care, wound care, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions.
