MOLLY ATWOOD, PhD
Assistant Professor of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences
Molly Atwood, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Atwood completed her PhD at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. She then completed a clinical postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Sleep Medicine at Stanford University. She is a licensed psychologist with clinical and research expertise in behavioral medicine with specializations in obesity management and sleep. Her work in obesity includes the exploration of psychosocial predictors of bariatric surgery outcomes and providing pre- and post-surgical psychological interventions for bariatric patients. Dr. Atwood’s work in sleep includes understanding cognitive vulnerability to insomnia and how best to treat insomnia in the context of other mental and physical health conditions.
