What is this project about?
This research study seeks to understand how sensations and thinking influence the brain.

This study is a collaboration with University of Maryland, Baltimore investigator, David Seminowicz, PhD, who is the study's principal investigator. This study is approved by the University of Maryland, Baltimore Institutional Review Board.

Am I eligible to participate?
We are looking for healthy volunteers between the ages of 21-65 who do not have any medical conditions and are not taking any prescription medications. Take our screener here to find out if you might be eligible for this study!

What will I be asked to do for this study?
Your participation in this study will involve: (1) completing a phone screen, (2) attending 1 in-person screening session at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Campus where you will complete sensory testing, and (3) completing 1 neuroimaging session at the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

Will I be compensated for my time in this study?
Yes! You will earn $175 for completing all study-related activities.
